The North 40 perimeter loop circles our house on Mountain View Trail. One time around the perimeter is 1.1 miles and climbs down and out of 2 deep draws. The mid point roadside elevation is approximately 6510′.

  • Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous

Mountainview Trail Upper Property Line to Junction

  • Distance: 2.1
  • Elevation Gain: 254’
  • Difficulty: Easy

Mountain View Trail House to Junction

  • Distance: 1.8 Miles down and back
  • Elevation Gain: 208′
  • Difficulty: Easy

Mountain View Trail Loop

  • Distance: 2.58 Mile Loop
  • Elevation Gain: 380′
  • Difficulty: Moderate

North 40 “T”

  • Distance: 1.2 Miles Out and Back
  • Elevation Gain: 177′
  • Difficulty: Moderate

Good Morning from the North 40

Good morning Montana!  The temperature at 11 am is 66 degrees and it is a glorious sunny day. The wind is blowing steadily. All of the grasses are beginning to go to seed and it looks so pretty blowing in the breeze. Hopefully, today, we can open the house up.
